Two years ago, we launched Canada’s first-credit union led business incubator. Since then, we’ve incubated and provided resources, mentorship, and space to over 50 startups. In just two years, these 50+ startups have:
- Created 172 jobs;
- Generated $8.4 million in revenue;
- Obtained $17.8 million in public funding; and
- Raised $13.4 million in private capital.
“When people think of Saskatchewan, tech isn’t the first thing that comes to mind and we’re here to change that. With some amazing anchor companies in Saskatchewan’s tech ecosystem, we’re excited to see another wave of high-growth companies emerging,” said Jordan McFarlen, Cultivator Manager. “The results and growth we’ve seen in just two years are outstanding, and not only is helping put Saskatchewan on the map but also having a positive impact on our economy.”
What’s the key behind this success? All wouldn’t be possible without the support the community, founders, partners, investors and mentors have given over the last two years.
“We’ve had great support from the tech community, not just here in Saskatchewan, but across North America,” said McFarlen. “From our in-residence programs providing one-on-one support to our founders to leaders and industry experts taking part in one of our community events, providing our founders with mentorship to help them take their company to the next level – when the community comes together, we all thrive.”
