AGTECH ACCELERATOR Cohort 4 Finale Week

We wrapped our fourth cohort in the AGTECH ACCELERATOR program!

July 13–17 | Saskatoon, SK

From hands-on founder bonding to high-stakes pitches at one of the largest ag shows in the country, Finale Week in Saskatoon brought Cohort 4 full circle.

This week was all about momentum—connecting with investors and producers, showcasing what our founders have built, and reflecting on the growth that’s taken place since Kickoff Week. With a schedule full of meaningful sessions, new connections, and a little fun along the way, it was a fitting finale for our fourth AGTECH ACCELERATOR cohort.

Take a look at the highlights from Finale Week and see what these incredible founders were up to!

Arrival + Kick Off

The cohort touched down in Saskatoon on Sunday and jumped straight into team-building mode. We kicked things off at Stoked Centre, where founders took on bowling and a high ropes course, pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones while supporting each other through the challenges. It was the perfect icebreaker to reconnect and build camaraderie right from the start.

After some well-earned fun, we transitioned into a casual welcome dinner – same venue, new vibe, giving everyone a chance to reconnect, debrief, and gear up for the big week ahead.

Monday: Saskatchewan Ag Ecosystem + Demo Day

Monday kicked off with a strong dose of Saskatchewan agtech insight. Rather than touring facilities, founders heard from leading voices in the provincial ecosystem, including:

Carmen LySaskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre

Dr. Scott WrightLivestock and Forage Centre of Excellence

Jeremy Lang, Karen Churchill, and Monica PollardAg-West Bio

Heather ClairSaskTel

Steven WebbGlobal Institute for Food Security (GIFS)

These speakers unpacked the region’s strengths in innovation, infrastructure, research, and commercialization—giving founders a clearer picture of how Saskatchewan is positioning itself as a global leader in agriculture and food tech.

In the afternoon, Leah Olson delivered a thought-provoking workshop on why structure matters (or doesn’t)—encouraging founders to consider how governance, leadership, and operations evolve with scale.

Then it was time for Demo Day where founders pitched their companies to a room full of investors, ecosystem supporters, and partners. The growth and polish on display was a powerful reflection of the journey these founders have been on since April.

Tuesday: Investor 1:1s + Sales Strategy

The day started with investor 1:1 meetings, where founders engaged in personalized discussions with funders from across Canada. These conversations unlocked valuable insights and connections for what’s next.

In the afternoon, Patrick Honcoop led a high-energy workshop on agtech sales channels. Drawing from his global experience, he walked founders through customer segmentation, outbound vs. inbound strategies, and key considerations for building effective sales pipelines in agriculture.

We ended the evening courtside at the Saskatoon Rattlers basketball game, paired with a relaxed investor social—the ideal environment to continue networking while cheering on the home team.

Wednesday: Ag in Motion + Conexus VIP Dinner

Wednesday was all about visibility and field-level connection at Ag in Motion, Western Canada’s largest outdoor farm show.

We began the day with the Agtech Breakfast, where select founders were chosen to pitch to an audience of ag industry leaders. The breakfast also featured a panel that explored the role of major shows like AIM in amplifying innovation, building trust with producers, and closing the gap between tech and the farm.

Throughout the day, founders showcased their innovations at our shared booth with Conexus, engaging with producers, partners, and stakeholders from across the ag ecosystem. From spontaneous pitch moments to in-depth demos, the booth was buzzing with activity and interest all day long.

That evening, we gathered for a VIP Dinner at High Key Brewing, generously hosted by Conexus. It was a fantastic way to unwind, celebrate the cohort’s journey, and connect more deeply with producers across Saskatchewan.

Thursday: Wrap Up

We started Thursday with a Pricing Strategy workshop led by Carolyn Crewe, who broke down pricing psychology, value-based positioning, and practical models founders could take back to their businesses. As always, her session was a fan favourite—accessible, tactical, and immediately useful.

In the afternoon, we hosted Founder Confidential, a reflective, founder-only conversation space. We were joined by Jason McNamee, a Cohort 1 alumnus who shared his candid journey post-accelerator—from challenges to wins and everything in between. His transparency and lived experience helped set the tone for a rich, honest conversation among the cohort.

To cap it all off, we walked over to Taverna, a local favourite, for farewell dinner. Founders shared laughs, stories, and future plans, celebrating how far they’ve come and the relationships they’ve built.

As part of our AGTECH ACCELERATOR Finale Week, Cohort 4 founders wrapped up their journey with an action-packed schedule filled with high-impact opportunities, showcases, and real-world ag engagement. From meaningful connections at Ag in Motion to reflective moments and investor meetings, the week was a powerful culmination of everything they’ve built—making their time in Saskatoon a fitting and unforgettable finale.
