Cohort 10 Demo Day: Good things come in 10’s, right?

Ten innovative startups took the stage at the START Cohort 10 Demo Day, captivating our panel of expert judges and an enthusiastic crowd of 150 community members – a SOLD OUT event! The evening presented as the perfect culmination for the intensive 12-week program. The success of the Cultivator START program is a testament to the collective efforts of a thriving ecosystem and the unwavering support from our guest mentors, speakers, and pitch scrubbers. Here’s a look back at what our founders were up to over the last few months to get ready for Demo Day!

Founders took everything they had learned and put it all into one final pitch! We had three esteemed guest judges from across Canada join us to crown our grand prize winner who received $10K cash + $5K in McKercher Legal Services, and the audience had the opportunity to vote on their favourite pitch to award $1K cash. Adding a new twist this year, guest judge Katherine Regnier, also presented the Katherine’s Choice Award, granting an additional $1K cash prize.
