Cohort 9 unleashes innovation at START Demo Day
Nine visionary startups took center stage at the START Cohort 9 Demo Day, captivating a panel of expert judges and an enthusiastic crowd of 120+ community members! The evening presented as the perfect finale for an intensive 12-week program. The success of the Cultivator START program is a testament to the collective effort of a thriving ecosystem and a supportive lineup of guest mentors, speakers, and pitch scrubbers. Here’s a look back at the journey of our Cohort 9 founders as they prepared to showcase their startup at Demo Day.
With some major prizes on the line, founders took everything they absorbed through the START program, and tied it together in one final pitch! We had three guest judges from across Canada join us to crown our grand prize winner ($10K cash + $5K McKercher Legal Services) and the audience had the opportunity to vote on their favourite pitch to award a startup $1K cash.
After much deliberation, the three judges came to the conclusion of who would be walking away from Demo Day with the grand prize… The START Cohort 8 Demo Day winner: Combine Settings! The audience also named StatRat the winner of the People’s Choice prize.
It was an incredible evening to celebrate the latest startups in Saskatchewan tech! We can’t wait to see where these companies ‘GROW’ from here!
